Board President
Iris Lowery is the Director of Human Resource Services for Aurora Sinai Medical Center. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Alverno College with a major in Business and Management. Iris is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Her son has been a Teen Approach camper for six years.
Development Committee Chair
Jay Blankenship is a Philanthropy Officer at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. He has more than 25 years experience in nonprofit management and fundraising, primarily in youth and family development. He has a bachelors degree in Wildlife Biology and a Masters in Social Work Administration.
Board Secretary
Judy Gundry is a Milwaukee Public Schools teacher. Her current assignment is as a Teacher-in-Residence with UW-Milwaukee, working with their teacher preservice program. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from UW-Milwaukee. Judy has 22 years of experience teaching and working with Milwaukee's youth.
Governance Committee
Melissa Hedges is a Teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Spanish and a Masters Degree in Elementary and Middle School Mathematics Education. Melissa is an experienced public speaker, a skilled teacher and a successfully professional facilitator. She has three children enrolled in Teen Approach.
Finance Committee
Evette Kingcaid is a physician at Midtown Health Center in Family Medicine. She received her Medical Doctor Degree from University of Wisconsin Medical School, followed by an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas before returning to the University of Wisconsin to complete her residency training.
Development Committee
Alberto J. Maldonado is a Senior Academic Advisor for the GEAR UP program at UW-Milwaukee working with 6-12 grade students, families and school staff to promote college awareness and readiness. Alberto has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and is currently working on his masters in Education Policy from UW-Milwaukee. He is a graduate from the first Latino Non-Profit Leadership Certificate Program (Cardinal Stritch University/UW-Milwaukee). He is also an accomplished musician and a member of the local recording Latin jazz band "BAHIA".

Jane Elizabeth Marko is president of Marko and Associates. Jane's education consulting strives to inspire the passion in teachers. She earned her masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading and her administration certification.

Erin Montagne is a GEAR UP Advisor for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee working with 6-12 grade students, families and school staff to promote college awareness and readiness. Erin graduated from UW-Madison, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in education. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from Marquette University.

Felicia Saffold is an Assistant Professor at UW-Milwaukee where she teaches in the Curriculum and Instruction department. She has more than 16 years experience in education and teaching, primarily in urban schools. She has a bachelor's degree in Education, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a doctorate degree in Leadership.
Board Treasurer
Helen Taylor is a Talent Management Manager at American Family Insurance in Madison, Wisconsin. Helen has over thirteen years of experience leading individuals and teams through corporate goals and visions and over fifteen years experience in training and employee development. She has a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising/Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and is currently working her Executive Coaching certification through Linkage, Inc. Her daughter has been a Teen Approach camper for the past four years.
